UK dress sizes (6-20 and up). UK 10 corresponds roughly to US 6 and EU 38 (French) or 36 (German).
Practical notes
- The UK and EU are separate customs territories, so plan UK and EU shipments separately.
- India and the UK have negotiated a trade agreement that may change duty on Indian clothing; check current rates with your customs broker.
- Small boutique orders can be planned as capsules, then re-ordered once a style proves itself.
Labelling and compliance
- Fibre composition
- The Textile Products (Labelling and Fibre Composition) Regulations 2012 require fibre content using the standard fibre names.
- Care labels
- Care labelling is not legally required in the UK but is expected by retailers and customers; GINETEX care symbols are the norm.
- Origin
- Country of origin is not always mandatory on the label, but most UK retailers ask for it and customs needs it.
